Ibrahim Mahama Pledges Cement Depot for Ghanaian Attacked in South Africa

Ibrahim Mahama, Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners, has pledged to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot for Emmanuel Asamoah following the widespread public attention surrounding a xenophobic attack against him in South Africa.

According to reports, Emmanuel Asamoah gained public sympathy after details of the attack went viral on social media, sparking conversations about the safety and treatment of African migrants living in foreign countries. In response to the incident, Ibrahim Mahama stepped in to support him both financially and economically.

As part of the support package, Ibrahim Mahama presented Emmanuel Asamoah with a cash donation of GHS200,000 to assist him personally and help him rebuild his life after the traumatic experience. Beyond the cash support, the businessman also promised to set up a cement and hardware distribution business for him, aimed at creating a sustainable source of income and long-term economic stability.

The gesture has been widely praised by many Ghanaians on social media, with several people commending Ibrahim Mahama for showing compassion and using his resources to positively impact the life of a fellow Ghanaian in distress. Others also described the intervention as a powerful example of corporate social responsibility and humanitarian support.

The development has further renewed discussions about xenophobic attacks in parts of Africa, especially against foreign nationals seeking better opportunities abroad. Many have called for stronger protections for migrants and greater African unity to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Supporters believe the assistance offered to Emmanuel Asamoah will not only help him recover from the ordeal but also provide him with an opportunity to become financially independent and restart his life with dignity.
