The Ghanaian government's decision to issue a diplomatic passport to the prominent travel vlogger and YouTuber, Wode Maya, has been lauded by the content creator. He sees this gesture as a profound endorsement and a practical benefit, significantly streamlining his extensive international engagements and easing the complexities of global travel
The acclaimed content creator took to social media to announce the practical impact of the diplomatic passport, explaining that it has eliminated numerous logistical obstacles he encountered during his travels. As a result of this newfound ease, he projected that the document could potentially enable him to visit as many as one hundred (100) countries throughout 2026.

The diplomatic passport was officially presented to Wode Maya on October 1, 2025, at an event overseen by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, (Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa). This ceremony acknowledged the outstanding efforts of five influential personalities from Ghana's creative and cultural spheres for their role in enhancing Ghana's reputation on the global stage.
Other recipients included Grammy-nominated reggae musician Rocky Dawuni, broadcaster and media personality Anita Erskine, entrepreneur and cultural ambassador Dentaa Amoateng MBE, and renowned visual artist Ibrahim Mahama.
